Judge Sherry Stephens has approved Jodi Arias’ request to access the home where Travis Alexander was killed six years ago. The current homeowners had no comment to the media. The home was the scene of the 2008 death of Travis Alexander. Alexander was stabbed multiple times, had his throat slit, and was shot. His body was found in his shower. Arias was accused of premeditated murder, but argued self-defense at trial. She was convicted by the jury last year in a televised trial. Jurors couldn’t agree on a sentence.
Jodi Arias is currently representing herself in her new sentencing hearing, which is scheduled to begin in late September. A new jury will be impaneled to decide whether Jodi Arias should be sentenced to life in prison or execution.
Judge Stephens approved Arias’ new investigator’s trip to the home by the end of this week.
