Daniel Ken Holtzclaw, 27, is being held on $5 million bond at the Oklahoma County Jail after being accused of committing a series of sexual assaults against at least 6 women while on duty as a police officer.  Holtzclaw faces complaints of rape, forcible oral sodomy, sexual battery, and indecent exposure.  Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty said that Holtzclaw would stop women and then assault them in varying ways, including forcing them to expose themselves, fondling them, or raping them.  Authorities said they have had at least 6 victim statements and expect at least one more.  Investigators believe there are additional victims who have not come forward.  The department began investigating Holtzclaw two months ago.  He was immediately placed on leave after a women filed a complaint against him.

“We started the investigation and we started looking at traffic stops he had made throughout the previous months to try to identify and initiate contact with females that we knew he had stopped during that period of time…to see if they had been sexually assaulted,” Citty said.
