A San Antonio, Texas police officer has denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman last Friday after pulling her over.  Officer Jackie Len Neal told CNN, “The allegations are false.”  San Antonio police are looking into other accusations against Neal in the past.  A few years ago, another woman made a similar accusation against Neal, but refused to testify.  At 2 a.m. Saturday, Special Victims Unit detectives arrested Neal.

“The sexual assault which led to the arrest took place early Friday morning on the South Side, when Neal made a traffic stop on a 19-year-old woman. Neal was in full uniform, in a marked patrol car, and on-duty when the sexual assault occurred,” San Antonio Police spokesman Sgt. Javier Salazar said.

Neal, 40, is an 11-year veteran and was working on the overnight shift.  Neal allegedly led the woman to the back of his patrol car, where he handcuffed her and then assaulted her.  The cameras in Neal’s patrol car were not working at the time, but his GPS showed that his car was stopped for 18 minutes.  Neal has been charged with felony sexual assault.

Chief William McManus called Neal’s alleged conduct “unthinkable…I’m outraged,” he told reporters.
